I have not lost any weight in two weeks! So frustrated!

Recommended Posts

While I am happy with the fact that I have lost 99 pounds in 7 1/2 months, I am frustrated that I have not lost anything in two weeks. I still have 30 pounds that I would like to lose. If anyone know of a regiment that will help me, please share. I also haven't worked out in a month, do that is starting today.

It could just be a stall, which is a normal part of the weight loss process. I also measure myself to keep an eye on my progress because sometimes the scale isn't our friend. Have you been sticking to your diet plan? Protein first, enough Water, etc, making sure you're getting the right amount of calories in?

I was not losing much several weeks ago.. We'll I decided to start pushing myself with exercising.. Now I am losing consistently ..last week 3 pounds. I do 30 minutes of cardio. I alternate between stair stepper, treadmill and ecliptic all machine. I am actually dripping with sweat when I am through .. Then I alternate days between lower body and upper body weights for about 15 minutes. Imwould suggest u go back to exercising and increase your intensity. Congrats on your 90 pound lost.. That is amazing. Keep your eyes on the prize.

I'll add this for the working out folks....have some Protein based item within 45 minutes of ending your workout.

I worked with a trainer and she was the one to tell me this. I swear by it. I'll have a scoop of Protein powder in hot Water within 45 minutes of ending my workouts and I usually lose a good 2 pounds the next day or so.

If I skip the Protein, I feel shaky and don't lose like that.

Just thought I would share what I swear by.

I have not lost in the last 12 months, Hit my goal, 165........not the "suggested weight guide" in around 12-13 months. Did some yoyo over the holiday, but back on track with 3 pounds back down to goal. My surgeon explained that what is a suggested weight, does not take into considerations you may have loose skin and areas that add weight but are not really fat. I have not had a fill since 5-12.

WE are each unique; don't compare or judge your self.

Linda

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
