I originally had my sleep study scheduled for next Saturday. I received a call last night that they had a cancellation for tonight and did I want it. I said sure, wanting to get things moving. You can't imagine how upset I was to have them call at 2:00 today to cancel the appointment due to weather. There wasn't even 2 inches of snow fall last night - what the crap!!!! So I call to reschedule only to find that my originally scheduled time next weekend was already filled. Now I have to wait until the 15th of February, setting me back 2 weeks because this now means I have to also reschedule with the pulmonary Dr. GRRRRRR!!!!!! Not a happy girl right now. :s

I can imagine how frustrating that can be. Hang in there and take it one day at a time. I don't know about you, but my weeks have been flying by...it is already February! Can you believe it? Turned in my Psych tests, have to wait for his approval, 2 more classes and my next appointment is in a week and a half. Praying all comes together for us all soon.

I'm so sorry SugarFreeMe!

The same thing happened to me last week except the appt was for my very first consult for referral to a surgeon.. Anyhow it was cancelled due to weather.. I cried for 2 days because I had been really excited about my appt and getting the ball rolling. My rescheduled appt is this Tuesday...

I feel for you and I am sorry.

I would call back and INSIST on a earlier appointment. You were doing them a favor by filling a opening now that there is snow they put your appointment even further back - call them back and insist !!! This is not a good way to threat your clients !!!!

I received a call today from the sleep study group to apologize for their error. They rearranged things so that I can get my original appointment back for this coming Saturday. I was go happy, I was just getting ready to call the pulmonary office and reschedule with them, now I don't have to. Also received a call from my surgeons office. All is good with the insurance company, they have everything they need. As soon as I get pulmonary clearance the surgeons office will submit the final paperwork and give me a date. Hopefully I'm still good for Mid-March. It's hard to believe this is really going to happen. I've been contemplating it for so many years. Beyond excited right now!!!!!!!

Thank you everyone for your encouragement and kind words.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
