My 32 Week / Monthly Weight Loss Chart

Recommended Posts

I know that when I was researching this surgery and this sight, I wanted to get an idea of the type of weight loss I could expect. I learned that EVERYONE is different and that EVERYONE loses at a diffrent rate--some faster, some slower. However, I wanted to share this with those who want to have some idea of the type of weight loss that can occur with the sleeve.

I was sleeved on a Tuesday, so I weighed myseslf every Tuesday; those are reflected in the weekly weigh-in's. I was sleeved on the 18th, so the monthly weigh-in's reflect my weight on the 18th of each month.

Thanks for sharing your chart!

I think sometimes we think that the weight loss we saw in the first few weeks will be sustained - it won't. This is a great representation.

Congrats on your success!

Thanks for posting this...I will start a weekly chart as we'll to see my progress in black and white. I am also weighing myself everyday which I want to do once a week now. I had a slow down and it was getting me very discouraged. I am 7 weeks out and I eating 65 grams of Protein and 800 calories per day.. I hit my second stall. I am drinking enough Water. It is cold and drinking water does not appeal to me. Anyhow thanks.

There are several weeks throughout my weightloss that show no weightloss and even some gain. Stalls are MOST LIKELY GOING to HAPPEN due to a variety of reasons: water retention, lack of bowel movement, your body retaining calories because it is in starvation mode (meaning you need to eat more calories), etc. However, I like keeping track because it shows me the BIG PICTURE, which we cannot see on a day-to-day basis.

You seem to be doing well and your caloreis are excellent for 7 weeks out. I wish you--and everyone here--the best of luck!

I'm glad Gettingsexyback! LOVE your sign-in name by-the-way, You know part of our human nature is to have the need to be validated, and finding others with similar experinces is definitely validation that your progress is okay/normal/(even) great. I also weigh every Tuesday and for the first year I also recorded my measurements as well. Now that I'm a year out and at goal I am still weighing on Tuesdays but only posting the measurements monthly. I hope this will keep me on track.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
