Hi....Britrish newbie here!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone...just found this site and although I'm British, hope you don't mind me joining you. My name is Suzanne and I was banded on 9th February 2007. I have no idea what I weighed before as I am just too paranoid to know and will know how much (if anything) I've lost on Tuesday 27th March when I get my post op check. I think I might be due a fill but to be honest, my restriction is still really good so might give it a miss...will be advised by my surgeon. I've made a ticker for my posts (if I remember to use it!) and have just put a target weight on it as I have no other information.

Thanks for letting me join you.

MV :)

Hi there, I'm a British Bandster as well! I was banded on February 13th and I am having my first fill on Wednesday. I haven't weighed for over a week but last weekend my weight loss stood at 18.5lbs which isn't bad considering I didn't have to do a pre-op diet. I live in the West Country so if you live in or happen to be in the same area you're very welcome to come round for a coffee !!lol!!

Hi! Good to read you! Sadly I am in the West Midlands so too far for coffee.

I don't weigh myself...I have no idea what I was before so it wouldn't tell me anything useful anyway, but will know Tuesday if I've lost any. I MAY tell them not to tell me as I get so paranoid about it...LOL

Good luck with your journey and look forward to comparing notes.

Hi Becky

Thanks for the welcome! You're in Australia? I had planned to be in Queensland next week for a month but postponed my trip so that I could have my surgery, Will now go around the end of the year or early next.#

Thanks again for the welcome.

Love

MV

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
