  1. Hey there---I was banded on May 23, 2007 and am on the "full" liquid stage until Friday the 1st of June when I can start introducing soft solids. I am looking for some menu suggestions. I have been eating creamy Soups (tomato, cream of potato, anything without chunks), Jello, pudding, yogurts and I am getting sick of them! I am looking for any other ideas anyone may have. I found chocolate malt-o-meal, praise be to God. But I am just craving something different. Can anyone help me? Melanie
  2. Ok--can anyone help me? How do you get that ticker on your signature? I have one created at tickerfactory.com, but I don't know how to get it here? Thanks!
  3. Well thanks so much! So nice to see all the success stories--along with some of the not-so-good stuff. I think I can do it. Am anxious to meet with the dietician and behavioral specialist. The more I read and learn about the band, the more anxious I am to get one. I can't wait to add 20 years to my life! I was worried about getting support from my husband, but when the doctor said "most patients in your condition have a life expectancy of around 50. With the band, you can add approximately 20 years on to your life.." That was quite a reality slap! :omg: So I am looking forward to the procedure.
  4. Welcome! I am new here today also...looking forward to lots if info and lots of support.
  5. That's the problem sometimes.....I could sit here all dang day reading this site! :nervous I appreciate everyone's insights and stories...... Melanie
  6. Hello everyone.....I am new to post here. Have been reading LOTS on this site for a couple days now. I am looking to get banded. I have had my first appointment with my surgeon in Sioux Falls, SD--anyone ever been banded there? I am seeing Dr Thaemert. I have my appointment with the dietician and behavioral specialist on April 11th. I weigh about 285 right now and am looking to get to about 160 or so. I can't tell you how much this website has encouraged me. I love hearing real stories from real people and it's really helped answer a lot of my questions. I have been jotting them down in a notebook---still looking for a lot of opinions. Hope it's ok to ask questions? :rolleyes I am also looking for some sort of suppport team. All of you are an inspiration to me and I hope I can do half as good at this as you all are! :clap2: Melanie
