At the Tijuana Marriott

Recommended Posts

I flew in from Cincinnati to San Diego today. Victor met me at the airport and brought me to the Marriott. Raul met me at the Marriott and helped me get checked in and then I went up to my room. It's a nice room, two double beds and the Wi-Fi and Internet is free, The bathroom smells a little musty but I'm wondering if it's just the Water. The room is clean and maybe a little older but it's fine. Everyone seems to be very nice so far. I check out tomorrow morning and Raul will pick me up at 10 minutes till 10 to take me to Mi Doctor Hospital. I have some more paperwork I need to fill out this evening and I ask why I needed to do more paperwork since I had already done so much. He said this paperwork was for the hospital. So I would think I will be sleeved tomorrow afternoon. I ask Raul and he said the first operation scheduled was for 9 o'clock tomorrow morning. Looking forward to being a healthier me. I did take some photos of the room and I will post them when I get back home. I did find out that my Kindle fire will not support my mail so I am using my smartphone right now and that seems to be doing well.my doctor is Alejandro Lopez.

Good Luck!!

I am from Cincinnati as well. I have narrowed my Mexico surgeon down to two...Dr. alejandro lopez and Dr. Elias Ortiz. I am very very interested to hear what your experience will be with Dr. Lopez.

How long was your flight? Did you fly out of CVG or Dayton?

Sending you good thoughts. I'm guessing you'll be back at the Marriott tomorrow (Thur). Let us know how you're doing and how it went.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
