February 2014 bandsters?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! Just updating. I was suppose to have my last evaluation appointment Wednesday, BUT since the chaos with the snow (I live in Georgia), I had to reschedule my appointment twice! My wonderful sweet doctor, whom usually doesn't see patients on Friday, made a special exception and squeezed me in this morning. So this morning I submit my paperwork and keep my fingers, toes, & eyes crossed and hope for the best! So I'll be the late bloomer of the group :-)

Question... have any of you purchased a blender? I was looking into getting a ninja to help with the Protein Powder. I tried shaking some up in a bottle... needless to say the result was less than desirable. My mother insists I should get a Vitamix, but I just don't see myself dropping $600 on a blender. Any suggestions?

I have a ninja and I got the one that came with the big blender and 2 individual cups. When I make my shakes I use the cups. I love the ninja. What part of GA do you live at? I live outside of Columbus and Ft. Benning. My doctor is Albany, GA

That's what I was looking at. I think that's the one I'm going to get. It seems to have the versatility I need. My blender died from Bacardi overdose. Bless my lil Myrtle's soul. She went out like a trooper! ;-) Yes! I'm in Macon. My doctor has an office in Albany. Who do you go to if you don't mind me asking?

Yes! Get you a good one. You don't need to spend $600 but it would be worth it! Spend at least $200. You'll use it a lot for a long time.

Let those be your last set of sad tears. Look forward to the tears of joy you'll have when you reach your goal. Good luck to you on the 14th!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
