So I'm very close to reaching my personal goal of 135lb. So close I can almost taste it. My surgeon sat his goal at 120-130 but no specific number. Anyone else have differing goals? I'm trying to really get a overall feeling for what's best for me. A part of me is feeling more I won't be content til I'm in his range. Anyone else have a similar experience? I have family pressuring me about being too thin. Just trying to find a happy balance.

It's so difficult knowing when to stop, and when to be happy! I started the process with a very firm goal weight in mind and then when I reached that goal I realised I could do much better! I then set a new goal weight and when I reached that goal, my weight plateau'd for a while and I put 7lbs back on which is where I seem to be at the moment.

It would be nice to drop a little more weight again, but I am fitting nicely into clothes I could only dream of before, so I'm trying not to be obsessive about it. I have learned that you can get more than a little hung up on what the scales say so I am trying not to be overly critical of myself.

I think when I finally reach my goal, whatever it may be, I'll know when I get there, and I'll be very proud of myself. It's not just getting to goal, it's staying there as well that's a challenge!

Best of luck to you :-)

Don't let anyone tell you where you should be weight wise. You decide when you are satisfied then work on maintaining that. I am honestly not sure why people think it is ok to tell a former fat person what they should weigh? I am starting to get that now too (even at 162) and it boggles my mind. I would never presume to tell someone they are too fat so why would I say yoy are getting too skinny? It is our bodies, we have to live in them and so it is about your confort zone. Don't make yourself crazy about a number on a scale iit doesn't define you. :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
