Hello,

I'm doing well. I am 2 1/2 months Post Op from my bypass and down 45lbs. I am down 64lbs since Pre Op in November. Although I have at least another 80lbs to go, I'm feeling great. I have been working with a personal trainer 2 days a week for about a month now and he's helping to keep my motivated.

Hi! I'm Dani and I had my sleeve on Tuesday January 21st, 2014. I live on the Littleton/Centennial border. My insurance is Kaiser. Dr Chae did my surgery at St Josephs hospital in Denver. I'm originally from Aurora, but many generations of my family are natives from Silverton and Boulder. I'm a married 33 year old mother of two. I look forward to being fit in the fittest of all 50 states.

Hope your journey goes wonderfully! Keep me posted on your progress.

I have Kaiser too, can you tell me what the wait time was like for you? They are telling me 3-6 months before I would get to take the 6 week class and pre op work. Was that the situation for you?

Hello Ladies, soooo glad to have found you Denver gals! YES, YES, YES please add me, I'd love some sleever friends that understand the before, during, and afters about our journeys. I live wayyyy out here by DIA (airport), I'm willing to meet up anywhere. My surgery is April 15th @ 7:30 am with Dr. Chae; got my paperwork done, nutrition classes, pre-op physical, and now waiting and ready with excitement!

I'll tell y'all more about me later as we get to know each other. I'm also still contemplating the "before" picture....ugh.

Ps) Here's my first 'support group' share. I contacted Torani and asked for recipes and they replied and shared their link to sugar free recipes using their products: http://www.torani.com/#/recipes

Have you/are you using any of these sugar free syrups to give taste to bland Protein Shakes or yogurt? If so, what's your recipe? I tried it for the first time today. I made hot Cereal and added the raspberry Syrup and it was delicious! A great alternative to real sugar.

Hello Sleevers! How is everyone doing? Checking in with y'all. How are you liking this warmer weather we're having? My first thought "GrEaT!!" Because I plan to wear shorts more often this summer. :0)

I've been drinking more Water with slices of cucumbers and lemon with a packet of Splenda and it's delicious and refreshing. I probably shouldn't add the sugar substitute but I'm liking it too much.

Anyway, it's my last week of work and I'm excited. Getting ready to pack my items to take with me for my sleeve surgery this coming Tuesday. I'm not nervous yet, probably not until the day of. This weekend I'll be packing some of my big clothes either to sell or donate.

Anyway, I'm awake so I decided to jot a few lines to say HEYyyyyyy!!

Hello Sleevers! One day post-op and I'm doing excellent as far as pain is concerned...there's NONE, woohoo!! I'm From Denver and my sleeve surgeon is Dr. Franklin Chea who has an office here at St. Joseph and SkyRidge Medical Center. Staff here at St. Joe's are kind and attentive. If I requested something, anything they'd go get it, and not say, "let me get your nurse".

So far; I woke from surgery without any pain nor nausea. I did feel some nausea was when I got up to use the bathroom. The more you walk, the less the nausea.

I am now on liquid prescribed pain reliever, I think it's Vicodin. I slept most of the day yesterday and half today. I could not stay awake for nothing. My husband and kids came to visit and I kept nodding off. LoL! Thankfully they understand.

food they serve us Sleevers is broth and Jello. My assigned nurse keeps my Water full.

Well, I'm about to jus talk about nothing here soon , thanks to Vicodin... So I better get a little bit off shut eye. How's everyone else?

SparkleKat: your date is almost here! Are you ready? Of the things I took, I only used mouth moisturizer, Chapstick, and pillow. Everything else stayed packed. Oh, my ipad came in handy too. Text me and let me know when you're going in for surgery and where: 720-237-5650. Woohoo!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
