I was sleeved 8 days ago. I had to lose 15-20lbs before surgery, and I did that. Post op, I am down almost 20lbs in 8days. I would say that I lost roughly 15lbs in 5 days. Now I am losing roughly 1-1.5 a day. Just started ramping up my exercise, so interested to see what the scale says in a day or so.

My surgery was 10/24. I lost 10 lbs the first 12 days, after that I've worked for every pound. I've lost 28lbs since surgery. I eat clean, low carb and track everything. I move my body everyday. I'm not exactly thrilled with my rate of loss and yes, I lost faster many times on diets before surgery. The only thing I can think of is that I lost 60 lbs in the 6 months prior to surgery on Atkins, so I guess my body was used to it, but whatever the reason, it's slow, but I've lost almost 90 lbs since April. Have 56 lbs to go and I will get there, fast or slow :)

I do sometimes get jealous reading about others that just eat smaller portions of what they ate before surgery and lose faster than I do, but all I can do is follow the rules and the rest is up to my body :)

If you consider having major surgery, sipping all the damn time, eating under 800 calories a day, logging everything in my life, trying to get 80g Protein but usually only getting 65-70, taking chewable vitamins 3 times a day, trying to stay hydrated, dealing with everybody's curiosity, trying to fit in exercise when I really dont want to and being obsessed about this darn forum "falling off", then yes, the weight just falls off.

Seela has a great point.

I work my program to a T. It works. I work out as instructed.

It works. I'm losing and don't really care if it's fast or slow. Just the fact that I'm losing is cause for celebration...is it not??

Was definitely one of those people that hoped the sleeve would be a magic bullet and the weight would fall of without having to do anything but I've found I do best when I follow my food plan and work out 3-4x a week.

Yet people have so many different stories, some folk just eat less of what they used to, some stick to the eating clean, some eat clean and workout. I'm curious what's been working for you? How easy has it been to drop the weight?

Pounds no more "fall off" than a baby "pops out". That's my two cents. ;)

If it wasn't for that pesky love and empathy thing, having that baby wouldn't have been much of a challenge. :D

If you go for the optimum you will have to work. The trick is to make it a joy. Movement became a great high to me after being locked in a restrictive body. Pumping lungs, fast beating heart, power surging through those expanding muscles, gotta have it!

I lost 20 lbs my first week and since then haven't lost anything else. I'm 3 weeks out and haven't been out walking bc it's cold and im a wuss!!! But am adding some other exercises in. I knew I had to work for the loss, the 20 was a treat but now it's time. Hope everyone has a successful new year

I'm working out 4 days a week and sticking to the eating plan given to me by the NUT. Drinking a minimum of 80 oz of Water per day, now.

So, as far as I'm concerned, I'm working for it.

But everyone is different.

Only 600 a day 7 months out plus working out? Try upping your calories to 800-900 a day and continue to work out and I bet you will see faster weight loss. So many people do this and see results- try it for 2 weeks and see what happens!

Yeah eating too little can actually hinder weight loss, my nut advises 1000-1200 cals a day after 3 months.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
