No first fill for me.

Recommended Posts

Came to get my first fill and was not able to get it because my dr put my port right underneath my port and my incision hasn't healed. It's infected so now I have to wait till I don't know when. Hopefully I can make due without. I was really counting on this fill. I think I needed it.

Yea thanks. And I even talked to a so called nurse at my surgeons office and she said it's not infected just keep washing with your soap. I go to true results for my full and they told me right away no they can't fill it until it's healed and it looks infected. So now I might have to wait another month for this thing to heal. Happy holidays to you too. Thanks

Thank you. Yea I was disappointed too. But I kinda figured they weren't gonna give It to me. I will take your advice thanks. That helps. I was just gonna go on a liquid diet for a couple of days then just do mushies for a few days as well.

Thanks again.

which true results do you go to? and are they sure it's an infection? i go to one in Scottsdale AZ.. my incision site looked infected but it was actually a reaction to the glue they use to close you up with.. I would keep an eye on it and make an appointment as soon as you think it looks good. but like the other poster said try to eat only as if you had restriction you will get there

I go to the true results here in Houston, Tx. Well I guess she was nurse, a lady I talked to in my doctors office over the phone said it wasn't infected. But then i went to true results today to get my fill and they said they couldn't do it cause it's not healed and not suppose to look like that. But they sent a picture over to my doctor and he just keep using soap and Water. Mmmm ok. Lol.

I was going to do that, eat how I'm suppose to. They have me going back next week just to check on it. If they think it looks good I may get a fill next week, who knows? We shall see.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
