Question. I was just on the injury site. How are you mixing your shakes? Are you using milk or Water? On my shakes now I only do water and ice but that is because they have a milk replacer in them so they are thick enough.

I'm starving to and I just caved in and had a string cheese :( .. I was still under 800 calories for the day so I can't be too upset about it . I use half unsweetened almond milk and half Water with the vanilla and chocolate . But the strawberry sorbet is my fav and I use 14oz water and a ton of ice and it's awesome

Thanks! I was hoping I could just add ice and they'd be thick enough. I know with some if all you add is ice of Water they are really thin and flavorless

I add skim milk or almond milk to the Unjury, mostly to get the extra Protein.< /p>

Blending them with ice does make a huge difference over shaking or stirring them! I do that for my morning shakes so they last me the drive to boston.

Right now I am drinking my morning breakfast: Unjury strawberry Sorbet, 8 oz skim milk, 3 inches of banana, and 8 ice cubes all mixed in my Ninja blender. Terrific! Another favorite is Unjury chocolate Splendor, PB2 Peanut Butter Protein, skim milk and ice. I like these shakes because I can start my day with about 30 grams of protein.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
