  2. Total stuck in a stall right now. I'm 41/2 weeks post op and have been stalled for about 1 1/2 weeks. How did you guys get out of it? Getting really disappointed and frustrated. I don't even weigh myself every day
  3. Omg!! Same thing happened to be today!!! I was at work sitting at my desk and I reached down to move my bag which gad gotten stuck under my chair and I heard "pop, pop, pop" followed by a few seconds of serious mind numbing pain. I called my dr thinking I ripped my staples out, she assured me that was next to impossible, thank god . Now my stomach is really sore, not excruciating but tender. She said I might have ripped some internal stitches or the muscles that we're knitting. Seriously WTF!
  4. Can I ask a question about poop? I'm 2 weeks out today and in general feel really well, went back to work two days ago and have started on soft foods but I am having one problem. Gas and poop. Lots of gas in my intestines and my poop is gross. Like really, really gross. I'm sorry to be so personal but is this normal? It stinks horribly and is like sludge. I mean it sticks to the toilet like glue. I am so skeeved! Can someone please tell me this is normal and will get better? It has been like this before I started on foods so I know that isn't the trigger

  6. Thank you! That makes perfect sense! I was afraid of that
  7. Does anybody use it? Is it really unflavored? I would like to add it so some of my favorite things later on but am afraid it will change the taste or consistency.

  13. Airing for my room. Surgery scheduled at noon. Wish me luck for a successful surgery and speedy recovery!
  14. Oh I hear you!! I am on day 13 and FINALLY feeling ok. Of course today is the no food at all day. For me I was miserable for about 10 days I'm sorry to say. But on day 10 I suddenly was fine and wasn't even interested in my evening meal. It was all head hunger for me that was the kicker, it made me soo mad! Good luck and keep it up, it will get easier. Surgery tomorrow for me, yay!

  16. "I told her there are days when I just feel like I'm hungry no matter what I do. And it was like she didn't believe me." I understand this completely! I'm slated for surgery Wednesday and I'm looking forward to finally having control over food. If I had the ability to stop when a reasonable person would be full I wouldn't be in this mess. I feel like I have the stomach equivalent of Mary Poppins carpet bag, there is NO BOTTOM! It's so disheartening to never feel full or be hungry an hour after eating all the time. Good luck to you!
  17. SO excited and so scared! My surgery is scheduled for Wed Feb 12. I am looking forward to the new hotter, healthier, more active me but so very scared at the same time. I am nervous about trying to take care of my 18 month old post op. I'm nervous about being one of those people that is always nauseous and sick( it's not like they can put my stomach back!). I'm scared that I will look worse with all my excess skin than I do now. I'm afraid that my new smaller portions will somehow scar my daughter as she gets older and becomes food conscious. I'm afraid of how long recovery will take (I can really only be out of work 10 days). And of course the big one I'm terrified that something bad will happen while I'm under. Is this really worth dying for? I know that's extreme but when I look into my daughters face that's the one that gets me the most. On the bright side I finally had the first good (easy) day of my pre op diet positive thoughts encouraged please!
  18. So I'm on day 10 and I'm still miserable. It's all head hunger and I'm so mad I can't seem to get over it. I'm also just plain pissy and short tempered on general. I am also freaking out because my baby has a serious cold and I'm scared to death I'm going to get sick and they will cancel my surgery
  19. Thanks! I was hoping I could just add ice and they'd be thick enough. I know with some if all you add is ice of water they are really thin and flavorless
  20. Question. I was just on the injury site. How are you mixing your shakes? Are you using milk or water? On my shakes now I only do water and ice but that is because they have a milk replacer in them so they are thick enough.
  21. Thank you for all of the shake ideas! I'm going to have to check some out. Right now I love the really thick shakes because I try to convince myself I'm drinking a milkshake and am full. I really hope this changes after surgery . I'm not going to lie I am so close to falling off the wagon on my preop diet right now. I'm tired, hungry, miserable and hungry. I just want a piece of freaking toast I don't know why this isn't getting easier

  24. Hi Nancy. I've been debating going up to faunce corner. It's so far and I'd have to bring my toddler. I think I need to get some samples from somewhere in case I can't stomach the herbalife. Plus they are a pain I'd rather have something on hand to just grab if I feel crummy post op. Have you heard about any good ones?
