I'm going to do that first thing in the morning! Love TG! Thanks so so much!!! I know there are a lot of docs out there but it's nice to hear personal stories!

And good luck with your surgery! Best thing I've done!

This may blow some people's minds...

http://eatingacademy.com/nutrition/revisit-the-causality-of-obesity

The laws of thermodynamics do not indicate causality.

As a 334 lb man I would not lose weight on 2000 cal per day. The formulas indicate this cannot be the case, however, reality tells you otherwise. The Dr is assuming things that are not necessarily proven.

The Doc is a tool. Find a new one.

I think you should go onto yelp.com, Google, yahoo.com etc (as many websites as you can find, especially medical) and write up a review about him. I always search to read what people say about doctors, among other places.

Maybe the word will get back to him. Maybe he'll lose business and check himself. In the end you'll get a chance to vent constructively.

That sucks... your surgeon is a total DB! The thing about a good surgeon is..., I love to see my doc because he is always so positive and excited for me! It makes me want to do oore, exercise longer, etc because I know when I see him he will just be so thrilled! I wish you lived in CO so you could see my guy! Everyone is different and a good surgeon KNOWS that! You can fire him and hire a new doc! Another doc will see you no problem and they probably know what kind of a jerk he is. Its a small community! You are doing great! Keep up the hard work!!

I feel like you posted my story. I was sleeved in June of 2012 and I lost about 70 lbs and 4 sizes. 22 to 14. But then everything stopped about 9 months ago. My doctor was also very disappointed in me. I work out for at least 1 hour a day 3-4 times a week, weights and cardio. I was on Diabetic meds prior to surgery and now don't take anything - But I still a diabetic. I found myself wanting to faint constantly because my sugar would drop. My regular doctor said I had to increase my calorie intake to 1200. So now here I am. I would love to lose 50 more lbs but have tried every freaking variation. I too quit my doctor and nut! Any help from you guys would be so welcome.

Hang in there! YOUR journey had just begun. I would still do it again!

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
