Another December 9th sleever here. Heading into the TMI area here. I feel like I'm in bondage, Left arm has blood pressure and Left hand has IV. Right Finger has oxygen sensor, and Right wrist has 3 hospital bracelets, Nose has oxygen tube in each nostril. Legs have cuffs to prevent blood clots. Stomach has the bandages and I have a drain. Got my pain pump, and call button, and other room controls. Have my laptop and phone plugged in. Whew. And I have to pee... a lot,so everytime I have to go, I have to get unhooked from it all. I also Nurse game me omeprazole thru IV and that's generated lots of burping. Able to have ice chips but if I over indulge I get nauseous. Over indulge being about 15 ice chips. And I'm HUNGRY. That scares me, thought the hunger would be gone. Oh yeah, my scalp is itchy and dry. On the plus side my little cheats (the chicken and carrots in my "broth". The few ounces of turkey with a tablespoon each of potato, stuffing, squash and cranberry sauce. The 1/2 scrambled egg at lunch the day before surgery..Nurse just came in more later.

Dec 9th sleever here. Today is my first full day home, my goodness home feels so good. I just walked to the mailbox and back so thats good. the coughing is the worst part, geeze it's so bad. I'm able to keep liquids down but the warm teas. Are still the best so far me. Also I had my gallbladder removed and hernia repaired. I told my doc I went in for one surgery and had 3; I said when it's time for him to do my plastic surgery, I expect to go in for one thing and come out with three things done no extra charge ...:)

Dec 9th here as well. First full day at home. Waled and getting around but that's about it. Hubby is helping but I feel like someone kicked me in the ribs. My left shoulder is killing me! I know part of it is the air but I got a pnemonia vaccine at the same time so double whammy.

I hurt and I'm not going to deny that. I don't regret this but lord the pain!

I hope not that sucks he just left you all alone like that and then not to help with the kids is awful. I hope things get better and soon for you.

My friend brought chicken n dumplings for my family last night. He got an ass chewing from her about it. She didn't mind helping but set him straight on his spousely duties in taking care of me. He went grocery shopping this morning and got stuff to cook. We have all worked together for many years in the prison system so being open to calling one out on their faults is just something we do.

He called his mom this morning and asked her to email him her recipe for tater tot casserole. And finally got my Powerade zero after asking for it all day Wednesday and Thursday!

He is better today and the kid is home due to an ice storm is being very helpfully

Pain is slowly going away. Used the heating pad across my stomach and it helped a lot.

Can't go out and walk because we about half an inch of ice. So try to walk around my tiny apartment just to get some in. But doing it

Dec 9 sleeved here as well, just wondering how everyone is feeling? PO day 11 and last night was my first great nights sleep! Had been twisted around and not sleeping at night so happy it's possibly fixed. Anyone making their Protein goals yet? Not me but getting better, trying a new shake today Premier Protein has 30 G protein, 130 cals and only 1 g sugar. I've been trying Greek yogurt but for some weird reason it makes me cough, even when thinned.

Weight is coming off slowly, but I'm a slow loser so must be patient. Damn it.

Hope all u other 9ers are doing well too!!

I too was sleeved on the 9th. I have been very lucky, and not had a lot of problems at all. I am finding it hard to get down my Protein, and waters. Breakfast today was a scrambled egg with smart milk and cheese. I was able to eat 1/2 of it. lunch was a meatball. One meatball. LOL. I was full. dinner was a tablespoon of mashed potatoes, a tablespoon of stuffing and an ounce of dark meat chicken. I had a CIB shake with smart milk. Half mid morning, half this afternoon, and will have 1/2 at bedtime. I love that I'm full with just a few bites of something. My face looks thinner, and I've definitely lost weight in my legs and butt. Which makes my giant basketball belly look even bigger. I'm a giant circle on spindle legs. Since my postop when I got the ok to move to puree/soft I've had a blast! On the way home I stopped and got a small clam chowder. Got home and put the clams, potato, onion in my magic bullet, and threw it back in the broth. I was able to eat about a 1/4 cup before filling up. This is so awesome. I'm down 30 pounds since starting my preop diet. I feel great. Still have some gas twinges. My artificial shoulder hurts, but surgeon said to give it a few more weeks because of the position they put it in during surgery, plus the gas aggravating it. I only vomited once, and it was pure Water. I had returned to work, filled up my Water cup, got distracted, and gulped. BIG MISTAKE, and hopefully I won't repeat. Right now I'm off 3 diabetic meds, and am taking 1/10 of the insulin I was prior to the preop diet. Right now I'm not taking my hbp meds. I LOVE THIS. One of the best things I ever could have done for myself. Has it been easy, HELL NO, but worth every bit of the work it took. I'm so on my way to my new life. I'm blessed to have this opportunity. Good luck to all my fellow 12/9 sleevers. We are all in this together.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
