Yes, its definitely going to be hard. I am already cutting back on my food intake and replacing one meal with a liquid protein shake. Not sure if my body is going through withdrawals or its just nerves. I start tomorrow with 2 replacement shakes. Breakfast and dinner. I'm glad I joined this forum; )

@slinkielovin when do you go for your pre~op visit? My sx is scheduled for Jan 16th the lap band coordinator advised me of my one week liquid diet b4 surgery. I have been doing good but jump off the bandwagon on the weekends. Best of luck to you!

My Dr. Doesn't have me on any kind of diet or fast before my surgery. Is that weird?

I had no pre-op diet either. Just no food after midnight the night before surgery.

My date is Jan 16. I would like to connect with anyone who might want have someone to go thru this with, or compare experiences with. I am a bit nervous and excited as well, so I joined this forum hoping to gain more perspective!!!

Good luck everyone!

I'm getting banded on January 14 at 10:00am.

I have a 2 week pre-op diet of only 900 cals a day (5 Boost diabetic per day). Seems quite extreme compared to some! My doctor is doing Lap-Bands with fewer incisions, and they need my liver as small as possible, is the reason for the 2 weeks.
