I am doing good down 50 lbs. I had a very slow summer. I have had 5 fills. Some very small and one big one 1.0. I have started losing again. I did really good this Thanksgiving. I ate what I wanted but only a small amount which is good. I have had no trouble and am so glad I had this done. I feel so good. Going to the gym with a 25 year old and keeping up with her. Yay me. 30 more pounds to go. I will make it!!!!

I've lost 100 lbs. Have 40-50 more to lose. I've gotten a bit off track but plan to start weighing/measuring all food again tomorrow. I still log everything into MFP but I've been just estimating. It's been pretty smooth all year. I've gotten stuck but nothing major.

Can't wait to see how others are doing.

I had my sixth fill on Monday of this week and I finally feel the band is really working for me. I am not hungry between meals and my portion sizes are a lot smaller. Since surgery last year I am around 65 pounds down. Now that I actually fill some restriction I expect that number will be higher by the close of 2013. I am excited for all of us.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
