hopefully you didn't mean that the way it came out as my pain was definetly not alleged. My ex best friend is addicted to pain pills. It's really sad. But then there are those of us who legitimately need them and don't abuse them. I wish it were different but I would've not got any sleep those first few weeks the kind of pain I was in. But if Tylenol works for you, more power to you.

No not meant toward you at all. Most pain for me I say is in my mind. The side effects form that stuff is much worse to me then the pain. My Hernia surgeon few years back when I told him I worried about getting hooked said flush em down the toilet I did just that

I can't believe how good I feel. I was sleeved on 11/26. I have had very little pain at all. I only needed the pain meds the first day. They sent me home with meds but they were never even opened. I know two others who were sleeved the same day as me were in quite a bit of discomfort and I felt so bad for them. I also know that could have been me. I have a lot of energy all of the sudden. As of yesterday. I was told this could happen and it did. I am not unhappy about it what so ever. One thing I am having an issue with and it really just started today is I am all the sudden very hungry. I am getting more than enough fluids. I measure all that I drink. I only get 2oz of Protein Shake 3x a day. Anyway I hope everyone else is doing well.

Please don't feel bad about the rate that you lose weight. I can say for myself that I worked my tail off for each lb that I loss. It took 7 days to get the ten lbs of Fluid off me that I gained during surgery. After that I have hit the pool each day swimming from a mile to two (which takes me 1 1/2hrs to 2hrs 45 minutes to do). I wanted each day off to mean something. I've only had 3 days off out of the 26 post-op from working out and one of them is because the gym was closed Thursday.

The weight will come off, how quickly is up to you.

My problem isnt how much weight I've lost its feeling like crap and dehydrated. Also I am getting tired of liquids still another 2 weeks before pureed.< /p>

I know what you mean. I had my lap band removed in September and they sent me home with Percocet. I took them for about 3-4 days and then switched over to Advil. But for a couple nights after stopping the Percocet, I had horrible insomnia, restless legs, hot and cold flashes, etc. It was horrible and I was shocked that I could get withdrawl symptoms after taking it such a short time. I told my doctor I never want Percocet again. And I'm hoping the lortab doesn't yield the same result.

Hi all I just joined but I was sleeved on Nov 13th. I started at 257 I lost 22llbs the 1st week. I'm not really sure where I'm at right now because I refuse to buy a scale I don't want to live and die by it but I can see that more pounds have come off and I can wear clothes that had been sitting in my closet to small for years now. I haven't had any set backs and no pain or nausea since the procedure thankfully. Hardest thing is getting all those darn liquids down and I still yet to know when I'm full. I just seat the suggested ounces and I feel normal afterwards no full filling but not hungry either. Can't wait to start start soft foods Wed bc these Soups are getting really boring.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
