All is going really well right now. Surgery was at 8 & went very smoothly, got into my room around 11 or so. Walked around the floor for about 30 minutes. I do have a catheter but it's no problem.

Am experiencing very little pain - which is great! They gave me liquid Tylenol to go into my IV. Also got a shot of dilaudid. They used to use PCAs but apparently they stopped doing that. Not sure why

Hubby brought me an adorable penguin pillow to hell when I cough :)

This was a little more exhausting so I'm going to wrap thus up. Ask whatever you'd like and I will try to get to them ASAP.

Thanks for all your help and great support!

Doing same here, would love for the upper chest to stop hurting when I breath in deeply and while using the spirometer. Just finally reached 2 oz liquids at a time.

When my throat was really sore and I'd fall asleep I did that wake up coughing thing a few tim - it does suck! Getting in liquids is going pretty well - surgery on Monday and on Tuesday and today I'm already over 64 :). Not getting in as much Protein but my doc told me he is very happy with the liquids intake and to keep that up. Next week he wants me getting in the Protein and my Vitamins

Overall, knock on wood, things have gone really smoothly!

Also sleeved on Monday. Got home today about 1:00 and have been sipping fluids. Overall I feel pretty good. I haven't had any nausea or need for pain meds since Monday night. I can defiantly tell my tummy is weakling up! Lots of noise and rumblings! :)

I was sleeved on Monday the 16th. I got home from the hospital yesteday afternoon and all I could think about was "what the hell did I do to myself"????? I could be out there enjoying all the Christmas goodies I keep seeing on TV, in magazines, and in the newspaper. Instead I'm stuck here drinking little sips of liquid food that taste horrible. I know i'm just feeling sorry for myself and I'll get over it. Anyone else having similar thoughts?

Overall I feel pretty good. Came home yesterday which was nice :). Kind if feel like I've done 1000s of sit-ups. Haven't take any pain meds since yesterday but that may change. I have dilaudid tablets but I think that is one if the big things causing me to be constipated. I just feel like if I could have one good BM I'd feel lots better!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
