I was also on shakes two weeks before surgery. The first couple days were a bit rough but I found drinking more Water helped me to feel full and not looking for something to eat. I also found myself doing more at the gym to keep my mind off not eating any solid foods. You'll get through shakeville and before you know it the day of surgery will be here.

I had 10lbs to lose 2 weeks out and was put on liquid diet. I ended up losing 21 in just under two weeks. Just stick to what the Doc is telling you. I also ended up putting in some more time on the elliptical and treadmill just so I wouldn't think about wanting to eat something. You can do it.

I started my liquid diet yesterday and i have the same surgery date as you! I am struggling with this all liquids thing...especially today. I'm working in the PICU and all the nurses and doctors ordered Chinese food! It's all I smell. I'm trying to drink all the Water I can to fill myself up and I just had my second shake of the day....This is by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do! Quitting smoking was easier than this. I'm looking up things on the internet about before and after pictures and reading about people's life changes to pass the time and keep my mind off of the intoxicating smell of fried rice! LOL!

Omg.....I can understand! Drinking the shakes was easier than I thought. I added a shot of expresso to the French vanilla shake and it was great! The strawberry was not bad at all either. It's a mind thing but I hope Thanksgiving day my will power ten times as strong! My surgery is important to me so I know I can do it! Keep in touch guys with your progression.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
