I Got The Ok To Eat 2Mrw. Green Peppers In Eggs?

Recommended Posts

So I am super excited to hit this next stage. Because Im already gagging on Protein Shakes. So for Breakfast i wanna try scramble eggs. But was wondering am I able to add green peppers?

Also am I able to drink coffee? If so how should it be? Decaf? With skim and splenda?

If youre post op, Id say no on the peppers. The outside of vegetables is real starchy and hard to break down. Your stomach may want to hold onto it a while and work on it (its what a stomach does). It sounds like youre on soft/purees like me. I do eggs for breakfast and lots of egg salad too. i just go salt/pepper/tobasco for flavoring. I also toughen em up for a change of pace sometimes.

I would chime in to also say no to the peppers. Veggies weren't allowed on my plan til week 4 (introducing solid foods slowly) - and even then it was a tiny amount of super soft veggies after my Protein - no tough veggies for a while. Soft egg is a lifesaver when you've been on mostly Protein shakes - have fun!

You may want to try a tablespoon of fresh salsa. I love that and cant wait to have that again. I am 21 days post op and still on liquids. Got the all clear to pureed on thanksgiving day.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
