December 2013 Sleever Pounds Lost Log

Recommended Posts

Hello! Hope everyone is having a wonderful sleevers weekend!

My stats:

HW 348

SW 330

CW 291

Loss another 3lbs!

Went to a Denver Broncos Fan Footbal party today at my cousin's house--there was food everywhere--..all the crap I used to stuff my face with like pizza, chips, fried chicken, mac & cheese, hotdogs, Pasta, etc..plus beer and martinis! Thaks to my new buddy (my sleeve) it didn't phase me at all!

Hey has anyone tried the Crystal Light Appletini Water flavor! OMG, it really is delish! My cousin took care of me...I had faux appletinis and grilled chicken legs with garlic spinach with some Protein crisps she found at Whole Foods. Nice crunch. She also sliced up some turkey pepperoni and fat free cheese for me...

I adore her.

Happy Monday everyone!

The weekly numbers will be a little late this week. I will be posting them tomorrow for a few reasons:

We have some new folks who have joined the thread this past week (WELCOME)!!!!! If you are new and haven't done so, please either post here or send me a private message how many pounds you want to lose during this journey.

Also, I have the day off today and am going to be road tripping to explore some new locations in the morning, and then am having lunch with my sleeve buddy and going to a WLS support group tonight. If I am back at a reasonable time I will try and get the numbers posted, but the support group is about an hour drive away, so I'm not sure what time we'll be back.

Keep those numbers coming...you are all doing a fantastic job!!!

Spent 10 days in the hospital, been home for 4 days. Nutrition has not been a high priority. Just starting to get back into my proper diet. Still on liquids, hoping to make a change to pureed after my nutritional consult later this week.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
