18 Month Follow Up

  • Popular Post

Hey my fellow sleeve victims.

I had my 18 month post op follow up visit today. Nothing unusual to report. Everything is fine. I've lost 83% of my excess body weight and gone from a BMI of 52 to 28. It's hard to believe I can it's been 18 months, time flies. But it's been a great time and the best decision I've ever made. This pic I think says it all.

Oh.....NSV for me today. Went to a public pool this afternoon and got in without feeling like I needed a shirt on. First time ever. Gotta love Texas weather .....hotel pool in November. Yes

  • I think that's why my surgeon didn't set a "goal" For me.. That number was picked by me because of the info you put on this site.... Hey it's Alex's fault!! ***Laura runs to get a pitchfork to lea

  • So something that my surgeon said at a bariatric "motivational" speech (aimed at all his post-op peeps...from the 3 diff. types of surgeries he performs) was this: (I will summarize) I don't care ab

That's awesome and also you look AWESOME!! Well done you! :)

Time DOES fly...I'm nearly three years out, can't believe that.

Congratulations! And thanks for being around to help, inspire, chivvy, cajole and spank all the rest of us toward being successful. Those two pics blow my mind. That can't POSSIBLY be the same person...and yet it is.

You look a-may-zing!

Ah, Butter, you look happy and healthy, love the smile, thanks for passing on all your words of wisdom to the rest of us, it its really appreciated. Congrats, you look awesome!

Congrats. It amazes me that you still have a BMI of 28 - goes to show, I guess, that we've (or I've) lost track of what "normal" body weight looks like. If have thought you were well within the healthy BMI range.

Congratulations on your success!!

My surgery is scheduled for December 10th and I'm pretty freaked out about it. It's very helpful to read about success stories like yours to keep me grounded.

Time flies...that means we must be having fun! :)

Congrats - your hard work has truly paid off. Thanks for being here to inspire & entertain us!

Look at you butter! I'm loving that outfit!

18 months? Wow time flies.. It feels like just yesterday that I came here and first met my BFF.

Oh those were the days huh? :D

Exactly.....BMI is such a joke. I can easily see my abs and I'm well into the "overweight" category. My frame just isn't going to allow me to be a normal BMI.

Being normal is overrated

You look great! Do you consider yourself at goal? By the way those pants are way too big! And you look so much younger now.

Wow! You look GREAT Butter! All of your hard work sure has paid off for you. You should be very proud of yourself.

Yes I do. I'm happy with my body and my weight is what it is. It's not as low as people who know me think it is or as low as the BMI charts think I should be. But my body is happy at this weight and I'm happy not cutting my intake to try to lose more.

And the pants are comfy....I'm all about comfy.
