I am not sure if you are still looking for good Protein powders to mix but Body Fortress strawberry is GREAT. Mix it with some low fat or fat free milk and it taste just like Nesquix Strawberry Milk.

I placed an order from Bariatric Choice last night. I don't see Body Fortress Protein Powder but they have Bariatric Advantage, Celebrate, and Isopure and a bunch of other popular brands. I ordered from there for the free shipping and I got $20 off by using someone's referral code. Here's mine if you want to use it just follow the link you'll get $20 off and I will too. https://www.bariatricchoice.com/rewardsref/index/ref/id/119272/ hope you're recovering well-you sound up beat!

I know that Walmart and Walgreens carry Body Fortress. It cost around 20 dollars. Sometimes u can catch it on sale at Walgreens. The chocolate is pretty good also but everyone is different.

I've asked this question on many threads now and have yet to get a reply! Has anyone tried any Protein Shakes that are whey free? Like rice, hemp, or soy? How are they? What's the best in your opinion. I'm allergic to whey and am pre op but was searching for an alternative now.

Ive tried a couple pre op not to bad tasting...we have a health food/natural place they had a selection of single servings...I tried an egg based one and thought is was horrible...I know Vitamin Shoppe has some single serving packs of things other than whey protein... I didnt try to many only because the amount of Protein was low compared whey

I guess I'm just going to have to go try some, it seems like it would be much harder to get your Protein in without the whey, hemp protein has 15g per serving rather than 60g errr :(

Remember you will only be depending on shakes for short time before you add some foods...egg, greek yogurt, cottage cheese...so the combo will allow you to reach your daily goals

So how did it go? Did you have your surgery? I had the same experience - went to doc last Friday (12/6) and they gave me a date of 12/19! I was expecting sometime in January - get thru the holidays, vacation, job interview in California (I'm in New England)... But now I guess I can take advantage of using up my 2013 vacation time, but I feel bad it kills our Christmas vacation. We have a big family wedding on 2/1, so I guess the earlier the surgery, the better I'll feel going to that (God willing).

My pre-op diet seems reasonable - two Slim Fasts (breakfast and lunch) and a Lean Cuisine for dinner with two string cheeses for Snacks. I start this Wednesday.

Overall, I'm a little scared, excited, anxious, worried, optimistic, doubtful, etc. emotions all over the map makes me feel like a baby. I feel like saying to myself, "just suck it up - it's been a long time coming, and you'll be much healthier and happier after!"

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
