Hello need help

Recommended Posts

I am 1 week post op. I am down 24lbs sense 1week liquid diet. I am about to get to the yogurt pudding sugar free stage. So I have the list that they give us. What I want to know is there any ideas out there that I can have beside the plain list they say. Or does anyone know some stuff I can try. I take my Protein & Water like clock work. BUT. Getting really bored of it. Help please

Not that I'm going to stop the Protein & Water. I actually love Protein shakes. ( lucky me) :)

Lol!

I'm probably the only other weirdo around here that liked the shakes! :P

I can't think of much outside of cream based Soups (like cream of chicken) strained of course..

Search the food section for the ricotta bake recipe. It was very fulfilling in the soft stage. Helps with the mental need for a real meal.

I don't know if this will help but sugar-free popsicles, frozen yogurt, and the strained 'cream of whatever' Soups were real good when I was at that stage. Good luck!

sugar free pudding. Scrambled eggs. Cottage cheese...I added a tiny bit of fruit baby food ..which is watered down. Cream of wheat with unflavored Protein Powder. I added the Protein powder to most of my Soups too. You can also add a bos of sugar free pudding to 32 oz of plain yogurt. Tastes a little like cheesecake. I would wait another week or two for that, though.

. I like shakes too. Laura, does blending cream Soup accomplish the same thing as straining them?

Lol! Who knew so many people like them!

I'm so used to reading "I can't tolerate them"

And "they make me gag" posts I was beginning to think I was in the super minority!

My name is Laura,

I'm almost a year out and I'm a Protein shake drinker :)

I love my morning Protein shake! I add expresso to it for a mocha flavor (very mild) and have one every morning!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
