Vegemite, banana and butter on toast. A carb feast with B12. Enough of these will give you type 2 diabetes, but you're very articulate about it.

what does this stuff actually taste like?? (Assuming there's something remotely comparable....)

I've never had anything remotely like it. Even the copy cat brands (that you probably don't get) taste completely different. Main thing is its not sweet - a little salty. I use it to make gravy if i've nothing else to use.

Try it - the trick is to keep it thin - it's not jam

Yep you want to keep it thin because you don't actually want to taste that shitED :P

I have a feeling it would taste like bouillon paste.. Cause that's what it looks like.

Not really beefy. Although I use it to make gravy sometimes, just with boiling Water and some herbs, the family refer to it as "vegetarian gravy".

What I really miss is the one small biscotti I used to dip into my morning coffee. It was my excuse for "well I can't take my pills on an empty stomach". Seriously, the lies we tell ourselves just to get a little sugar into ourselves! That may be one of the few things I still crave. But we don't buy the biscotti anymore and although my husband threatens to make them from time to time, every time he brings it up, I distract him with a long list of honey dos....I wonder how long before he catches on? :P

Biscotti is actually pretty low-cal and you should be able to tolerate it because it is so crunchy...

Agree. My sleeved wife does these with her coffee on occasion. I think they are OK.

Salty and yeasty and a little bitter. It is nice on toast but you have to use literally the thinnest smear you can imagine. It is nice with a spoonful melted into beef bouillon.

From a pm to butter this morning...

"I'm just riding my exercise bike.. I'm really struggling with food right now and feeling out of control..

I actually gave in last night and had a piece of bread with Peanut Butter slathered on at 10 pm.

I need to stay off of my own fuckng thread.."

Sorry just thought I'd blast you guys with a piece of reality...

I didn't think microscopic staples weigh that much, but you could be right. Maybe they are holding Water? If my surgeon was really that advanced, he would have stapled my mouth shut.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
