Sleeved on 10-23..hunger or...?

Recommended Posts

I'm not like wicked full getting in all my Proteins and Water and fluids... Is this going to be a problem when I move to puréed foods? Am I going to actually feel full?

Oh yah. Like on so little you'll then be worrying about "will I ever be able to eat more than a bird?" :)

liquids don't make us feel full. The purées and solids go thunk.

LOL.....I have been wondering the same thing. This is the first day I actually got all my Proteins in and I could still drink more. I was starting to wonder if I'll ever full. But, I also haven't been hungry or thirsty which is the only reason I haven't been getting my liquid in.

You will get full! Solid Proteins like fish or chicken will definitely fill you up. Hang in there! I remember the first couple of weeks, I was like, mine doesn't work!!! It works all right! And yours will, too. :)

I got my sleeve on Oct 7th and was feeling the same way! I was so surprised that I felt hunger, because I had heard so many say they were never hungry! I felt like I was starving to death! Then, when I was moved into the blended stage, I began to feel like I was being fed! My husband made pots of homemade chicken Soup, with all good veggies in it and lots of chicken. He then put a portion in the blender and pureed it, and it tasted like heaven to me! Also, I finally, finally felt like I was actually eating! Those first weeks are so tough to get thru, at least for me! I was getting depressed because I thought the days would never pass! But, see if you can make some good homemade soup, and blend it till smooth, and have a cup of it! You will start to feel better! Wishing you well on your journey; Connie

Same here- sleeved on 10/23- getting required fluids/protein but seem to never be full. Though I'm not hungry either. I was just sitting here thinking the same thing- am I going to feel full with regular food? Sounds like it from the other posts so that's a relief!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
