Summer 2012 approx. 295 lbs & now- 161 lbs Edited to add that I am 10 months out as of tomorrow. I'm not a carb Nazi. I limit carbs (I have not had a sandwich in 10 months or soda pop) but eat pretty much what I want' date=' just making good and healthy choices 90% of the time. I bought a food scale and weigh and measure EVERYTHING. I track every morsel I put in my mouth on MyFitnessPal (HUGE reason for my success). For exercise I do Zumba and Couch to 5K. This can be done and you can be successful eating in moderation. Good luck to everyone![/quote']

Wow u look amazing!

An example of yesterday (1355 cals) 1am (I work nights): leftover hibachi steak (2 oz) and vegetables & black coffee during the shift/ 8am: 1/2 Thomas' light English muffin with 1 tbsp. coconut oil and 1 tbsp. apple butter/ 2p (pre-run): 1/2 English muffin + 1 tbsp. natural Peanut Butter & sugar free jam/ 3pm: frozen dark chocolate dipped strawberry halves & sugar free chai tea w/ almond milk/ 5pm: flat bottomed taco shell w/ 1/2 cup refried Beans, salsa, and light sour cream/ 7pm: 2 slices bacon & 2 scrambled eggs (I couldn't finish the eggs- they were jumbo); 8pm: 1 dark chocolate square w/ 1 tbsp. natural Peanut Butter, chai tea almond milk latte & 1 tbsp. sugar free Creamer w/ coffee. That's "all". Seems like a lot. LOL Hope this helps.

Thank you.. It does help to see what the future holds for us just starting the process!!!!

Unbelievable! I'm about the same starting weight and wearing scrubs as we speak. I feel like your before pic. I hope to be able to accomplish what you have. How inspiring!

I was done on May 1 and I am down 101lbs as of this Tuesday. I work overnight too so sometimes it hard to eat on the run. I eat Protein and then take Protein Shakes to work so if the break is not coming I can have something.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
