You are going to live hun..The stent is to heal the sleeve around it...Sometimes they leave them in and other times they take them out after the incision heals..Most likely you will wait 6 weeks before they even think about removing it...The pain is bad I know I had 2 of them..One for 6 weeks and then they decided to add another one on top of the first......

Make sure they give you nausea meds and pain killers...You will feel like you are full all the time...Some people have it worse then others.....Stay calm...There are a lot of things they can do for you.....I have had it all done to me......I am 11 months out, and almost 6 months out of the hospital.......Stop crying hun.....You will be okay..

If you want me to talk to you..message me and I will be there for you during this time.....

Can't get better advice or experience on this very issue, than from the lady above.. Seriously. As for losing all confidence in the surgeon... I know it's incredibly tough, but if you're getting hacked-off with his manner - muster all your angst and strength and tell him why you're losing confidence in him. Some of these surgeons definitely have a serious 'God-complex' going on and frankly, it's not warranted. Their bedside manners often leave a lot to be desired, too. You're justifiably frightened and you have every right to assert your dissatisfaction and demand some answers. Lots of love and hugs going out to you. Keep us updated, we'll be thinking of you x

Not to mention the fact that you paid him thousands of dollars to do your surgery. You hired him for this service and he needs to realize that your feelings account for a great deal and you paid for him to take of them as well. I have a feeling that your getting mad is actually a good thing and you will turn it around to be a great advocate for yourself. Hang in there!

I suggest you wait on the telling your surgeon what you think..you have the right to expect answers and proper care..But wait until you are thinking clearly and have calmed down....Surgeons who do this work are really concerned when one does not go well..He could very likely be side tracked with working out a plan for you.....

I personally felt that my surgeon saved my life and gave me the chance to live again...We did not have a fantastic relationship either...( he is very shy ) but as time went on I could see his concern and he worked tirelessly to get me well...And for that I am grateful...

Right now.....Your nerves are acting up and you are winged out....Try to relax and let them do their job.....I know that is hard to do..but it is exactly what I had to do....

Bless your heart. I am pulling for you. I can't imagine. It is good that they caught this and you are in the hospital being cared for and monitored.

How did you realize you had one?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
