Anyone getting banded in Nov?

My surgery date is 11/7. I met with the surgeon yesterday from True Results in Scottsdale. I'm very nervous but excited!

I think we were in the same group session- yesterday at 130?!

Good except they threw a cure ball at me! He wanted cardiac clearance! Grrr so I spent the rest of the day in a panic trying to find a cardiologist that could get me in before the 8th. I was lucky I found one and got the clearance today!

I am too close to get denied again! The insurance company denied me in Aug for gaining 1.8lbs so I had more hoops I had to jump through!

How are you doing with the pre-op diet? I'm positive yours is not as long as mine is! :)

I'm glad everything worked out for you! I'm on the one week pre-op diet so I started today, it's been okay so far. How's yours going?

I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I think he said his date was on the 8th, so you may see him there.

Tomorrow is November!!!! Crazy! Its gone by so fast, I get banded on the 7th and Im excited. Yay for all of us having support this month!

      Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

        As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

        Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

      Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
