I'm Scared - Something is going wrong - HELP PLEASE

Recommended Posts

Sounds like acid reflux to me.. I would get an unfill if it continues but let your tummy calm down.. it does get pretty swollen after a fill. I am going thru that now! But luckily no acid reflux..

Talking to you guys has made me look at this issue quite seriously. I was worried initially, but now, feel GI Jane about making sure I'm not harming myself.

I feel a little trapped in that I work M,T,W,F of this week, and my one day of is the day my doctor is out of the office.

I know a local bariatric doc personally, and I know if I get in any trouble, he would help me.

UPDATE

Yesterday I didn't eat, I drank Protein shakes and hydration - I probably had 3-4 litres of Fluid without any problem.

The pills that I take at night I could tell (even broken up) were an issue. I broke them up in pieces and took them over the space of an hour.

I am happy to report I am without reflux!. I didn't feel any of that choking and gagging and didn't have to throw up. I slept well, and I was sleeping like usually.

I'm still on the Fluid only. Went to the store yesterday and bought a whole bunch of different kinds, Protein, broth, Water - I bought v8 (and realized how stupid that was).

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I won't feel bad if this becomes something bigger than me - I will seek help. I feel like with you guys support I was able to stabilize - and I really appreciate it.

It's good to hear the liquids are helping. I just discovered something called keifer, it is a pro biotic (kinda like a yogurt smoothie) and has some live cultures in it. I am on a very strong antibiotic and it has helped to protect my stomach. Might be worth checking out, I got mine in the dairy section right beside yogurt. Dannon makes it, so does lifeway. I bought the lifeway, it was cheaper had more in it and came in more flavors. Maybe that will help to coat your stomach and also boot the immune system. ~Mandy

You need an unfill. I had a fill of .6 and I went through the same symptons. I went two weeks where I could drink about 2 oz of liquid or about 2 bites of food. I had two sensations, I was hungry or when I did try to eat I was nauseous. I lost 15 pounds in 8 days. When I went to get my unfill that they put in before I was dehydrated and advised to go home and eat and drink plenty of food and Water to get myself healthy again. I would call your doctor asap and get some of your fill taken out.

Dieta

This is exactly what happened to me last week. I had a fill the week prior of .2cc's and went almost a week without proper hydration. I could eat but I couldn't get liquids down. After almost fainting, I called for an emergency partial unfill. I had .3cc's taken out and felt instantly better. I've gained back the weight I lost during that week but I'm perfectly fine with it. I'd rather gain 3 pounds than pass out (or worse) from dehydration.

FYI - My partial unfill was done on Mardi Gras day, which here in Louisiana is a big deal. It's a state holiday and my doctor's office was closed. I had to get the on-call surgeon to open the office for me. I wasn't taking any chances with my health.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
