Fill sensitivity for Dr. C

Recommended Posts

Dr. C I don't seem to be able to tolerate fills very well. You can see from my signature line that I have had lots of fills and unfills in my short 8 months. I have learned that I can't seem to get over .3 at any one time.

My doctor has us on 3 days of liquids and 3 days of mushies so I'm not rushing to eat solid food. I seem to react about 6-10 days after a fill. With the exception of 2 times, once I start PBing I can't recover from it. I will PB for days and can't keep liquids in. I then go for an unfill.

I also get a fever after a fill that last just a few hours with chills. I get extremely tired and then seem to be OK.

All of my fills are under fluro. Even when I can't keep my salivia down the scan shows me wide open.

Are there others like me? Can I be given something that will help me tolerate fills?

Barbara,

My guess is that you either have a hiatal herna (which is very difficult to diagnose in a band patient) or possibly your band could be infected (I have only seen this once but the fevers worry me). Probably the only way to know is to take a look with a laparoscope.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
