I have completed all of the insurance requirments over the last 7 months and I am scheduled for surgery on August 15th. I have BCBS Excellus in NY and paperwork was submitted yesterday afternoon. Any of you have BCBS ? How long did it take you to get approval? Once I have that piece I can calm down a bit. So excited for surgery but trying not to get too much in case there is disappointments. Any advice or words of wisdom about waiting for approval? Thanks!

I have BCBC, but my approval paperwork was sent right before 4th of July, so I had to wait 10 days. My advice would be do everything to disctact your mind. I couldn't focus or sleep for the 10 days, but after week had passed from submition, I was calling every day On a positive note - I hear that other people with BCBC are approved in couple days, one girl here got a call within 2 hours

I have BCBS and I have done the 7 months as well! I'm just waiting to hear back too! According to my surgeons office BCBS just wants to see that you did the time and they approve!
