I lucked out because both of the assisting surgeons are gynecologist. So I won't have to do any other referrals I just have to get approval for the procedure and its 100% covered. I have to pay around 5000 for the bypass though as long everything goes well.

That sucks! I guess it's not a common request. I am only the 2nd person to ask my surgeon to do it. Since there will be a gynecologist assisting him in surgery he said it'll be easy to do instead of me having 2 surgeries. How many kids do you have?

Wow! 21 to 2! Mine are 17 to 5. I've always been over weight too. My smallest weight was 155 but I starved myself and worked out excessively. It lasted about 2 years then I went back up. My biggest was 314 but I'm 294 now. I can't wait to have my surgery so I can be a.healthy 155. It's amazing how fast you lost your weight. If you don't mind me asking' date=' did ypu end up with loose skin?[/quote']

I have loose skin but I'm pretty pleased on how its snapping back. My arms actually look amazing and I think they were my biggest fear. I didn't want flaps. Buy hey we all know it comes with territory right. I work my arms out like cRaZy daily.

Now my tummy.. I have a lil come-lap and that will not be going away no matter what I do. I will say tho... My lil $5 panty gurtle from Target will take it away for the day. LOL

The more weight and exercise I do the flatter the done-lap fold becomes. But yep.. its there.

Now my inner legs have I think what is called as tags. It's obvious that my snap back ain't snapping back there. My inner theighs droop a little... But I'm okay with it. My Dr said to allow myself a full 2 years to lose weight, tone and let the skin shrink back as much as possible before I start thinking the negative. If I get a chance ill take some pics and inbox them to you. LOL

Lmbo @ lil come- lap. I've started working on my trouble spots. I'm really worried about my arms, tummy and back fat. You look amazing! You must share your workout routine or do you mix it up? I hear that mixing it up works well.

I'm planning on buying some compression garments to help it along the way. Moisture is supposed to help elasticity. I use shea butter and olive oil on my skin now. Do you have any suggestions?

I have the inner thigh issue too but I'm as worried about it because it's not going nowhere no time soon. lol.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
