Hey Everyone, I am one week post op and definitely need some surgery buddies. This past week was so difficult, I was told by a lot of people that the first week is the hardest but I still had no idea it was going to be that hard..... I think it would be nice to have some friends who have been there to talk to! Please and Thank You <3

Hey there! I'm 4 weeks post op! I know exactly how you're feeling! If you need to talk about it or have questions I'm an open book! PM me if you want. I think it'd do me good to have a buddy as well!

I'm having the same issues as nemmings only I am hungry all the time and I don't feel full at all. I tried the sugar free Popsicles but they are super sweet. Everything I can have is sweet it's so gross. I'm sick of broth as my only more of savory. I need some support. Help!

I just hit my one week post op on the 29th! The first week was definitely a rough one, each day gets a lot easier. My left side is still pretty tender

In a month u guys will be golden!!! It just keeps getting easier!!! I'm about 6weeks post op! I can't eat a lot of meats bc they make me feel sick, I eat Beans, Soups, and I can eat chips ok which I shouldn't! I haven't had any dumping syndrome and I have ate some sugar over Christmas. I'm so happy for that!! I just find it hard to eat healthy with the things I can eat easily....I want a big salad and it will be awhile!

Hi, I'm 2 weeks 1 day post op and I will say the first week was definitely the hardest. Ive had a few different things to eat which has made me feel much better like having eggs, mashed potatoes, broccoli and cheese Soup, shrimp, refried beans/cheese and salmon. I haven't had and dumping syndrome which I am terrified of getting but trust me next week will be much better. I also had my first post op appointment yesterday and losing 15lbs in two weeks made me so excited for what's to come.

Hello, I had mine on 6/8 so a bit newer than you. My first week was a tad rough, but I felt full. On day 7 I started feeling hungry, but I think it was more a craving for substance, but Dr said to add in a snack and make sure to not eat more than satisfies me (at the moment, 2 oz). Otherwise I'm feeling pretty good. I never thought I would look forward to the pureed stage until now. 5 more days then I get moved up! You can message me at any time, but I am brand new to this! Good luck!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
