Cryimg and feeling down

Recommended Posts

Rant all you want! Seems to be the day for it! I didn't eat or drink even near the limit today. Felt like throwing up with everything. Will kick it in high gear tomorrow! I had bought a lot of samples before surgery, in all different flavors. Now they are all too sweet. So much for being prepared. Should've waited and saved my money. :)

I say that everyday... liquids I can do pretty well, Protein not so much! I will be 4 wks post op tomorrow!

Sometimes it is hard to look at the positives...I feel better physically, but sometimes now it seems all anyone wants to talk about is my surgery. But other times all of the positive energy coming my way freaks me out. 9 weeks post op and changes still happen on a hourly basis. I just try to focus on the positives, but sometimes it can be hard. Just hang in there, we have all dealt with amazing challenges in one way or the other and I am confident we will get through these as well!

Thanks for the words. My issue is not like that. I'm 9 days out and doing well. Just struggling with the hormonal changes. I'm feeling positive just cry and feel down for no reason at times. That's why it doesn't make sense except explained by hormones.

Reading all this reminds me when I had my surgery 3 years ago how sad and angry I was at the beginning, but it gets better with time, easier. Wish I would have had a venue like this. Just hang on, all these feelings are normal for what's going on with your bodies right now. It's all worth it

Our doc has said if you struggle with Protein to call the office. I would start with that.

Ladies I can say this first I'm 5 weeks out and just started to feel "normal". Heads clearer, I feel strong again, finally feel up to a little exercise like walking and going out with friends on occasion . I felt like I was recovering forever. We need to be patient and I'm not lol I want it all done yesterday. Since our weather has finally become nice go sit on your porch for a few minutes a couple times a day feel that sun we waited so long for sip a refreshing drink smell that fresh air and relax. It will all be so mucho better very very soon. Your actually on your way to a better you!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
