There were two I found. One is New whey liquid Protein and the other sunkist. I found them at Nashua Nutrition which has a store in Nashua New Hampshire but they also have a website and can have it shipped. Also I believe I saw some at Walmart. Not sure about other places. I got a couple different favors of the New Whey Liquid Protein. 42g of Protein per shot which is 3.8oz. It does have a little bitter taste so about halfway thru I did dilute with Water but it helps on those days where you can't seem to get enough protein in.

I just dont think I can do these Protein shake anymore. I am so frustrated to the point Of almost crying. Having why did I even have this surgery moments. I am serious. Even looking at the cup I drink out of makes me sick. I have tried about every type too.

I haven't had the surgery yet but I came across a suggestion that someone had while I was doing my research. This girl (a nurse) was having trouble getting in Protein after her surgery. She hated the shakes so she tried and liked this: buy choc or vanilla whey protein isolate powder and mix it into sugar free pudding (she put choc powder in choc pudding, etc - mixing similar flavors together helped disquise the taste). She also said the unflavored protein was perfect to add to creamy Soups or pureed foods. I plan to give it a try when my time comes next month.

That is what I have been doing but you can only eat about 4ozs of food. So at best you can only get about 15 grams of extra protein and you have to be able to finish the all of the food. I told the nut that I was doing 3 greek yogurt with Protein Powder in it and she said that wasnt nearly enough. That I needed to get at least 50 grams just from the shakes. She said I should be getting between a least 75 to 90 grams a day.

Tomorrow is a new day and hoping its better for you than today. My dr recommended Protein shots when I told her I was having issues with the shakes. There are a couple different brands and favors. It's a little under 4oz and about 40g of Protein. I've seen them at a couple different stores. Not the best tasting things but helps get your protein in. Also try different shakes. For example ones that are like an iced tea or lemonade. Not sure where you're from but I know Nashua Nutrition' date=' which is in NH, also had a website. I've tried a few samples and they aren't bad. A different take on the shakes and good protein.[/quote']

I use nashua as well. Many different brands and flavors to try! My Dr wants me to wait till Monday to introduce shakes, just to give me a chance to heal up. So working on Water and juices this week. Must say I feel pretty good!

Try a different Protein Drink. The Atkins ones are ok. Also the chocolate Body Fortress powder at Walmart mixed with almond milk is really good. Tastes like yummy chocolate milk. If you're a coffee lover you can also mix it with some Decaf coffee and ice and make like a mocha milkshake. That's what I've been doing and it's totally saved me.

Mocha milkshake! So having that for breakfast! Yum

Glad you're feeling good. I loved they had so many different flavors and the fact you could get samples to try them first vs buying the big container. Hoping to get up there this weekend to grab more.

I didn't drink Protein shake at all after WLS.

You have obviously done a great job. How did you get your Protein in without any shakes? I can't stomach them so I need some alternatives.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
