My dearest friends.

Today is my 1 year surgevarsary.

I day i was looking forward to, but one which came with so much mixed emotions!

So let me just spill it. I found out I am pregnant!

This is my first pregnancy. ?de33 It is unplanned. Only told my partner yet, nobody else. And noe you guys.

I am both happy and scared and a bit upset. And worried. Because it is not a good time now.

We just bought our first house, moving in a month's time. But we're not married. But we have been planning it (our plan was exactly this easter weekend next year!). Although nothing concrete as we have to save up, this house is a big thing.

And now the pregnancy. Honestly i dont know what to do. I cant speak with my mum about it, because if we decide not to keep it (a reality, unfortunately, due to financial circumstances), they will be devastated. I cannot do that to them. I cannot do that to us. But also, the reality of it happening.

What a crazy day!

I was looking so forward to the day i would get pregnant. And now, this day of all days, it's not as i envisioned.

I am also worried whether it would be fair to a child seeing that i am mentally not at my best - although i am much better than 6 months ago.

On the other hand, if i end the pregnancy, i am so mortified that it will have a dire effect on my emotional state especially with regards to my partner. What if i come to loathe him for it?

We love each other very much. And i know i would be a great mum. And i know people say a lot of the times "it is never the right time", but now is honestly not a good time!

Friends I dont know what to do!

I am like a deer caught in headlights.

Please give me some sound advice. And dont be too harsh on me, i am very emotional right now, and well, yeah.

What an anniversary, hey?

(Plus I am not yet at goal weight, have lost about 115 pounds if i'm not mistaken, need to lose about 40 more - but this wont have an effect on my decision, i am quite relaxed about the weight issue now).

I'm sorry that you're in this situation and having to make such a choice at this time of your life. I honestly would be making the same decision if I found myself in the same situation right now.

Don't let anybody (here or wherever) guilt trip you about whatever you choose. I applaud you for being open and honest on what is a volatile topic.

Had my surgiversary on April 17. Didn't make my 100 goal. Dang it, but I still did pretty well at 99. On April 16 I bought an entry into a half marathon to be held October 5. We'll see if my work grants me leave though. Lol. I started competing in races in December, with my longest at 9 miles back in February.

Left frame was May '12 around 296 lbs (highest 310). Middle was night before my RNY at 274.8. Right was April 17 at 176.

I don't think nobody is guilt tripping her here. She came to an open public forum with various thoughts and opinions. She had to expect she was going to receive honest opinions and feedback. You can't post such topics on a public forum and not want to hear what everyone has to say.

Omggggg I have been drinking lean shake 25 from GNC for my Protein supplements, and I have been using 1 scoop. Just realized the serving size is actually two scoops. That'll teach me to start reading labels! Hope I didn't ruin everything with my progress this week...

HW 296 - SW 266.3 - CW ???

Miss Megan I have not had my surgery yet however I do like the lean shakes from gnc. I buy the ones already made up. I like the choc. And but banana in it

I totally agree! We arent guilt tripping by being honest! These are our beliefs and personal opinions. She can still abort her child if she wishes, we just stated that we wouldnt and gave our reasons why. This is a topic best left off of here. I wish no one any ill will, only positive thoughts!

I'm here!! Alaina and I were just talking how quiet it has been!! Too funny! I have my year follow up appointment tomorrow. I have had the munchies all day and what a bad day to eat! I already have all my blood work results and it was all on point so it should be an uneventful appointment. I just have a few questions about blood sugar. I have dumped on Cereal only and it is a late dumping. My blood sugar drops in the 30's and 40's and is a little scary. Gonna try to clarify some questions on that. Hope everyone is good!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
