Being more than 6 months out now...who in this April group has met your surgeons goal? I'm still 10 lbs shy of meeting his goal and and 29 lbs from meeting my goal! I'm very grateful for the pounds i have lost and feel so much better. No more blood pressure meds and cholesterol is now 160...but man, this is going at a snails pace!!!...oh, and i thought i was not a dumper...but after indulging in more than a few Christmas cookies...I discovered i am in fact a late dumper...but it's not too bad. Here's a pic from Thanksgiving with the huz. I really am not that small...i was squished up against him...LOL

My surgeons goal for me 18 months out was 185. I'm now 182... My goal has always been more ambitious...160 lbs. I feel fine the way I am...so much more energy...glad you're feeling ( and looking) great!

You look great!!! I think I'm close to goal but the scales I was using were packed up. Will weigh Thur when I go see my nutritionist.

So..medical update...I saw the head of neurosurgery at UW Wisconsin...he works in a team , so I'll be seeing a neurologist, an ENT and him. More tests, but they hope they can find a non surgical approach. Quite the difference from the other doctor who just said to live with it and sent me back to pain management. It goes to show how proactive we need to be with our health.

Prayer answered! At least maybe now they can help u. It's def a step towards progress. Yay!!

I've lost 132.8 lbs and have 25.6 to go until goal. 8 months out was the 11th. I set my goal and all my Dr's agree with it since my frame size is large. Holy Balls time fly's.

I'm down 132 too! Great job girl! I agree how time flies. Seems unbelievable that it has been 8 months already! What did you set your goal at? I also have a large frame and set my own goal at 170 but am thinking that may be too small for me?? My Dr never set a goal, just to follow the plan and see where I stopped losing.

My doctor never set a goal for me either. I just wanted to be healthier and feel good so I could start living my life. Now that I've passed my lowest pre-pregnancy weight I am daring to dream of reaching my married weight of 115 (I'm only 5' - 4'11" according to my doctor). That would be only 20 more pounds. It sounds doable but if it didn't happen I'm okay with it. I'm content to be where I am. :-) :-) :-)

Losing a 100 pounds (or more, like you guys have) is AMAZING! I love feeling good and actually doing things I haven't enjoyed in years!!! I'm looking forward to the new year! :-) :-) :-)

I'm 5'9 so I said 200, but if I hit 199 I will be fine with that. Between my primary doc and pt doc they agree with me. When I'm down to 180 I look to thin.

I'm 5'8" and can't remember the last time I was at 180 so I don't know if I would look too thin! ;)

Guess I'll be happy were I end up as long as I'm feeling good!

I just updated my ticker and it shows 37 pounds to 170! I guess I didn't realize that it was THAT close! 37 pounds seems doable to me after losing 133 so far! I think that may be too small but we will see. I had stalled for a bit but now the weight is coming off again. I have been more active since my back surgery and especially now since my leg pain is getting better. I really was hoping to be in Onederland for Christmas but that is 8 pounds away so not counting on that. But by New Years for sure!! :P We have freezing rain going on now and an advisory through the night. Then BIG SNOW coming on Saturday and Sunday!! Definitely a white Christmas this year! :D LOVE IT!

Hope all the April peeps are doing good!!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
