You guys were busy when I was trying to sleep! ;)

Heres my introduction:

My name is Dorian Esquivel, but everyone calls me Dori. I am 42, will be 43 in August. I am married to a great guy named Tony for 20 years, although we've been together for 25. I've always known he was a good guy, but these last two months he has been my rock. He was so good when I was in the hospital. He stayed the whole time, and helped me. He has been so supportive with my back problems as well. Even though I haven't been paid in 5 weeks, he reassures me that it will all work out! I love him to death! We have three adult children who are all living at home. My son is 22, and the girls are 20 and 18. We also have four dogs; 2 Yorkie-Silkies, a Corgi mix and a Beagle mix. I am "grandma". ;)

I have worked for our local hospital for 23 years, mostly as a CNA. The last three have been as a receptionist/therapist helper in the rehab dept. I went there for easier work for my back. As of July 1st, I will be termed if I can't go back, able to do my full job duties, which will never happen now. I am ok with this, as I now need to take care of me and get better.

I love my family to death, am a HUGE Packers (and Clay Matthews) fan, which you will find out come football season, and I truely appreciate the friends I have made here. It is so nice to vent to people since I am not working! That's me! Nice to meet you all.

Mine I think only likes me cause I do talk and he doesn't feel he has to lol I find myself randomly checking in here too a lot.

I check in all the time! With not working and being more or less "disabled", I get bored when no one is home!

Ok about me....

Alaina Is my name..mama to a 9yr old boy..married to a active duty Air Force member. Live in FL for the last 4years have nearly reached my 3rd anniversary with my husband who is a wonderful dad to my son thankfully as my ex isn't. I grew up in MS in a very rural farm area. Poverty in childhood has made me strong! I am a LPN and getting geared back up for school soon. I have 2 stepchildren ( out of state)I love but not quiet always relate to. My son had a autism spectrum disorder who keeps me on my toes. I have 2boxers...Hero and Hollie..my really most faithful companions as my husband and son do leave me at times etc but my dogs are my one constant and the ones that have never left me. As I getting older I like more domestic things...quilting in funky fabrics' date=' gardening and growing food, making my own butter and other items...love making goat milk soap. I struggle with low self esteem and desperately want to get over my sleep apnea. My heart yearns to have at least another child but I've had 3 miscarriages the last being in 2010 and never conceived again. I have found thru a tragedy with my mom and sister we have a clotting disorder which is why I've had miscarriages. My sister has brain damage from age 22 after having a quarter sized blood clot hit her brain after bc pills. I'm happy to even have a sister still.

Sometimes I'm so goofy and totally random. I'm the comedian of my group usually. I try to be positive and laugh even when I'm not feeling so positive. I love helping people and being creative. I love college sports...mainly sec foot ball and NCAA basketball. I've been described as a cross between southern belle and country girl. I love chocolate! I love comedy and scary movies that freak me out. ......well that's some about me in a nutshell[/quote']

My heart goes out to you for your miscarriages. I have never understood why wonderful people who want children and will care for them have trouble, while some can have 10 and treat them badly.

I would love to be more domesticated, since I'm not working. I just am not crafty! ;) I would like to learn to make my own soap though. I am also the comedian in my group of friends. Always the one ready to party and have a good time. Hope I get back to that soon. Haven't had a lot of fun with this back. I love this meet and greet. Great idea! Nice to meet you Alaina.

Thanks Dori! I love this and I've honestly feel its wonderful to get to know you group of fine women. I feel so badly for u and that u can't get any relief with the pain. Idk how I would handle it myself as I'm not one that can tolerate alot of pain so I commend u for still getting into life as well as u do. I'm glad u have such a wonderful supportive man to help walk through life with u.

Thanks! I've turned out pretty well I think sometimes :) Im the dark Water than runs deep. So u were on the lower spectrum of bmi when u had surgery? I was below 40 at 37 something but with the comorbidities it went straight through with approval after finally submitted. Did they give u the goal weight of 120? I remember u mentioning that number once since we started out about same height and weight.

My dr said 115 to 120

I'm. Kris. I'm. 48 and a mother of three wonderful sons. I've worn many hats in my life...lifeguard, mountain woman, chef, aerobics instructor, and teacher. I taught gifted elementary students for fifteen years; loved it! I had open heart surgery in 2000 that left me with permanent nerve damage in my left side...very painful, but what can you do? I've been disabled and taught part time since 2000. I was moved to try wls after realizing that I had gone from 150 lbs. To 200 to 250 and finally. To almost 300 all while being in denial. I have a therapy dog and we visit hospitals and I could barely walk the hospital halls...my weight was keeping me from doing what I wanted to accomplish in life. I had surgery on 4/29 and I'm so glade I did! Down over 50 lbs.and can't wait to lose the rest. You all are the best!

My apologies if this has been asked already, but does anybody else feel more flabby since surgery? I realize it's the fat breaking down, etc, but it's just such a weird sensation. When I go to the gym and do my exercises in the mirror I can't help but focus on my wiggling parts. Lol.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
