Lol I did!/ still do! I laugh because I feel like this side effect was never discussed. I broke out like crazy. I asked surgeon and it is because the change in hormones. He felt it wasn't a big deal and eventually it will settle down. But what I have found to help me is Clinique 3 step I never required high end products vs whatever i can pick up at target but its helped me.

This makes me REALLY nervous.

I used to have really bad acne as a teen, as a lot do.

Mine was much worse and actually took meds by mouth that were so harsh Im still dealing with the effects of it. (Im 25 now and the meds are off the market now)

So thinking of how I used to be, I am so scared about this.

Yup. Just like a teenager all over again. Bumps and zits! Ugh! I guess it's one of those things that we'll have to deal with until it passes.

I have dryness like that now. I have been strughling with it for months before I found my solution.

I use aveeno extra moisture lotion. Right after i take a shower I wet my face with cool Water and then put a little bit of the lotion to the dry area. mixing it with the cool Water helps my skin absorb the lotion.

My regular doc said in addition to your body adjusting to change, skin problems and unusual rashes may also be associated with Vitamin deficiencies. I find at almost 6 months out that almost every problem I have can be fixed by being more diligent with my Vitamins.< /p>

My face looks horrible. I had bad acne as a teen and have still had the occasional break out now at 25 but sine the surgery, my acne is much worse than it ever was as a teen.. I'm so embarrassed.

My skin is horrible. My skin can't hold moisture to save my life. I break out on my face all month long & they are huge pimples. It's really embarrassing and gross. My doc says it gets better but it's still pretty bad.

Good lotions and good facial junk but no real relief.

Acutane? I' too had severe ulcerated acne in my teens and early twenties. I took Acutane for four miserable months but it cleared up and stopped the acne.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
