  2. My trainers say that weights are more important than cardio. So if anything, you should start weights as soon as you can. I do circuit training, it's working very well
  3. Wow, 144! Congrats! I hope I will be able to say the same at that point! I don't go, either, I live 30mins away. If you ever do go, let me know!
  4. Hey, guys! First, Dr. Kia is AMAZING. It is a well oiled machine at McLaren, you guys have nothing to worry about. Oh, and here is a tip that I got from my mom that worked for me: eat GUMMY BEARS during your 48hr liquid diet. The sugar coats your stomach and you WILL NOT have nausea! I didn't have any! Three nurses are fantastic, especially the male night nurse! Dave the P.A. is great too. Tell Eunice I said HAAAAY! The only thing that sucks is the food that you're able to eat. That potato soup taste is still in my mouth-yuck! They do have support groups, you will get the schedule at the final appt before surgery.
  5. I'm 7weeks out...I hit a stall for a coulee of weeks, but since last Friday I came out of it and lost 8lbs! I'm down 43 in total. I keep hearing that some people continue to drop non-stop, but that hadn't been the case for me. I have changed my exercise routine and upped my protein, so maybe that is working...
  6. I had a lean cuisine-stuffed cabbage with whipped potatoes
  7. Hey guys, I had my surgery on April 2nd! I'm down 35lbs, but I have hit a stall point and have stayed at the same weight for almost 2 weeks now. I'm trying to increase my protein and change my exercise habits. But, it's discouraging!
  8. Wow, really? Every surgeon is different, I swear! I'm taking 900mg of iron per day
  9. I get dryness on my face and my left hand! I couldn't tell you what it's from
  10. Tomato juice, well any veggie juice makes me dump! Unfortunately, sweets and fried foods do not. Lol!
  11. Hello ladies! I had a 1.5 month delay, but I finally had my rny done on 4/2/13! Dr Kia was my surgeon, he's amazing! I have not had any nausea or horrible gas pains at all! I would recommend him to everyone! I live in east Lansing, so if you would like to get together let me know!
  12. I'm fresh off my surgery, still in the hospital due to anemia. I will ask my Dr too

  14. So, my nurse practitioner told me that my surgery may be delayed because I am anemic. I have been taking ferrous sulfate 3 times per day for a week now. Had anyone else had this issue?
  15. Great! Tonya the nurse practitioner told me that they may have to delay my surgery because I am anemic. I hope not.
  16. Thanks! They're saying that I am anemic, so they may have to delay my surgery. I sure hope not!
