Syntrax Nectar

Recommended Posts

So I just got my sample packs of nectar and am so disappointed. They have a super strange flavor and smell. Have any of you not liked these and found ways of making them tolerable?

I really hated the 'clear' ones too. But I LOVE the nectar chocolate Truffle that is in the sample pack. I found I could mix a little in with other simialr regular drinks like crystal light but for the most part I just didn't use them. I still have a bunch if anyone wants them. lol

I love them too. I add lots of Water to them and prefer strawberry kiwi, fuzzy naval and tropical nectar. You could try some crystal light. I put them in a container with a small opening to drink from so I don't get much of a smell. I know how frustrating finding Protein Drinks can be as I can't stand anything milky tasting so all those chocolate ones make me want to vomit. Good luck...

I just got the big tub of the Iced Tea flavor and I love it! Ok maybe love is a strong word, but it's so much better than the chalky thick chocolate & vanilla powders I had before. I put 2 scoops (23g Protein each) into my 32oz Water bottle.

I want to get the Lemonade one too before summer. I wish I knew about Syntrax nectar 14 weeks ago.

but I agree, it does smell kind of funky

Best prices are at the Vitamin store (after shipping etc) Amazon is no deal

I have prime and I don't pay shipping and get my order within 2 business days. Works great for me because the closest Vitamin store is an hour away...

Just a Protein drink....not milky like most. If you pour it over tons of ice it's not horrible. They sell sample packs, just google it! Fuzzy navel is my favorite ( don't love it, tolerate it :)-) I also prefer the Syntrax sweets if I'm going to do a shake.

HW 312, pre-op (lap-band) 294, pre-op (RNY) 255, surgery date 2/11/13, goal weight 154, current weight 219

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
