I feel pretty good. I thought it would be much worse after reading some of the forums. My stomach is 20 - 30 ml. I Am able to sip Water and broth with no problem. I have sipped a little of the Protein drink but not much. I don't have much gas pains in my chest. I had a little the first day but not anymore. I'm passing gas and urine frequently but no BM yet. What is your surgery date? I still can't believe I finally got it done!

My date is march 11 and I have been worried to death ... but thats me im a worrier always. I have been getting heavier ever since the birth of my first child who is an adult now. Have try lots of diets to lose maybe 20 lbs to only turn around and regain that plus. As a teen I was thin as a rail and now to take a shower walk a few steps do almost anything I am so miserable. My husband is very worried about me and would rather I not go this route but I feel that I have to or I will end up with every obesity related disease that my family has had and I dont want that. Im still young enough to be enjoying life and now I am not because I dont feel like it. Thanks for telling me how you are doing it helps me feel better about this. Sounds like you are doing great .. keep me posted

Penny, I was so scared I wanted to back out. But honestly, it really wasn't that bad. The worst part was the gas. And walking helped that. I really felt stupid after I freaked out so much. You will do fine.

That makes me feel better to hear. Im just scared is all. I have friends that I haven't even told because they have the attitude just push yourself away from the table. Or that this is the easy way out. And thats surely far from true..

Its that painful gas. I hate it. That's one thing in not looking forward too. In not worried about the pain, if i can survive shoulder surgery i can deal with anything. Of all my surgeries that one was the most painful.

I'm doing fairly well. I had terrible insomnia last night. My pain is managed with Tylenol now. I have lost 8 pounds since Wednesday . I'm eating as much Protein and drinking about 30 oz of Water as I can. It's so weird that a 2oz medicine cup makes me full!

Are you mixing the Protein with the Water when you drink it.?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
