Well tomorrow to the hospital to get my Cardioverson to get my heart back into sync I AM only being there for OUTPATIENT I'm being very POSITIVE that I'm not staying say a prayer for me . Then I can start exercising more then 10 minutes on the treadmill and really start losing they keep telling how good I've done but I feel could do better with more exercise. Week 3, day 1 of zombie 5K....now laying on my bed with ice on my shins. Ouch.....so, other zombie 5Kers, does your app ever go crazy timing you? I was doing 1 minute runs tonight and realized they were lasting FOREVER..... And during the runs the timer was not working right (if was spot on with the walking though). I've almost decided zombie 5K is out to get me!

To all my fabulous February surgery buddies... How many calories per day are you eating and how many gms of Protein? Just curious to see if I'm inline... I definitely need to work on my Water. I feel I'm not eating enough calories. I average between 550 and 750 per day and between 60-80 protein. Seeing my doc next week and should move to the life style diet.

I only manage about 500 calories per day. I am able to drink water easily, but I am struggling with protein. Only getting 60-75 grams per day.

Me too......my MD doesn't seem to be worried yet...I still have labs done at my three month mark which is may 6.

I am taking my Vitamins. Not B12 though. Now this is my weird story with B12: For several years I have struggled to keep my B12 levels above 400, I was only able to do this with weekly injections. (This is pre surgery). So most people after weight loss surgery have trouble with B12 and take a supplement or get injections regularly. I believe it's the most common deficiency post operatively. My last B12 injection was the first week of February, my surgery was on February 14th. 10 days post op I had my labs drawn and my blood serum B12 level was 1200. At 8 weeks post op my blood serum B12 levels were 1700. NO B12 INJECTIONS SINCE BEFORE SURGERY. also oral supplements. No b12 in my vitamins, Protein Bars or anything. This is baffling me. My providers (surgeon. PCP) don't seem to mind at all. I am needless to say very puzzled. I am still not doing injections (obviously) nor taking oral supplemental. I will have my levels retested again in a few weeks and see what it looks like.

Anyone had this happen to them or even heard of such a bizarre thing? I know there are some medical folk on this board. Looking for similar stories and ideas.

I get between 800 and 1000 calories and about 80 grams if protein. Weight is coming off well. About 3 lbs week. I feel much better now and the Constipation issue ceased. I eat a lot of Greek yogurt, chicken, tuna and egg salad with light mayo and berries and lettuce. And of course a latte with milk in the morning.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
