Cold stuff

I've had a lot of problems drinking cold liquid. For some reason it just hurts. I'm trying to get down protein shakes but I use 1% milk and you can't let that sit out. Does anyone have suggestions?

I would make one an let it sit for a little while before I drank it and I was OK. I have never liked really cold drinks and post op was a no go. I did half milk and half room temp water to 'warm it up' a bit too. It does pass.

If I made a protein shake w/ milk and carried it around work and to a meeting I haven't had a problem. You could not let it sit in the heat and for long periods but I think you would be ok. Best Wishes :)

We used to drink warm milk warmed up on the stove as children. I had a hot coffee-flavored protein shake yesterday--I just added hot water instead of cold. You could do the same with milk. :)

I have a different problem. I can't drink my protein warm, it makes my tummy very unhappy with me. It also could be that I have never liked warm milk and usually add ice to my milk. I have to add ice to it. Water and other drinks are much easier warm though.
