Just tried a low sugar Detour chocolate chip caramel bar. O.M.G. It is so good. Doesn't even taste like a Protein Bar. And I'm not a huge fan of Protein Bars.

I made spaghetti squash and put a tiny amount of marinara sauce on it and had 1 beef meatball. Spaghetti squash was crunchier than I expected but still good!!!

Has anybody tried the turkey italian sausage? Is it good and how do you cook it

I eat it all the time, even prior to surgery. It tastes better than pork I think. It doesn't have all the fat covering the flavor. You cook it similar to ground beef. I put a small spray of PAM in my skillet before cooking it though since it tends to stick.

Recipe' date=' please!! I love cauliflower :)[/quote']

You need:

6 cup(s) lightly steamed cauliflower, florets, fresh (about 1 head)

1 Tbsp olive oil

1/2 tsp Kosher salt

1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

1/4 cup(s) grated Parmesan cheese, Parmigiano-Reggiano if wanted, which I recommend. You can find them in light/fat free version.

I used Mozzarella because that's all I had in my fridge.

Preheat oven to 450ºF.

In a large bowl, combine cauliflower, oil, salt and pepper; toss to combine. Transfer cauliflower to a large baking sheet and spread into a single layer. Roast until cauliflower is golden brown, tossing occasionally, about 15 minutes. Remove from oven, place in serving bowl and sprinkle with cheese; toss to mix. Yields about 3/4 cup per serving.

So I tried the other Detour Protein Bar that came in the box. Peanut Butter cream. Tastes just like a Reese's. These are definitely my favorite bars.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
