It's called "ruminating" I've heard of people doing it but never felt the need to do it myself.

Ruminating is bringing up stomach content .... Swishing & reswallowing .... I work with developmentally disabled & that is common with them :((

That sounds great! Nothing for me but a Protein Shake. Pouch has been super upset all day.

Water for me too! I can't drink plain water at all anymore without it feeling like a ton of bricks hitting me. I was doing water with lemon juice but have now moved onto lime juice!

I haven't had trouble with water before. I drank some milk this morning and some v8 light juice tonight and that was ok. It's like you said water feels like a ton of bricks! My pouch is a real pain sometimes so I'm sure it'll be ok later.

This way' date=' or you can microwave each half for 8-9 minutes then shred it. I had mine with a little butter and some Parmesan cheese. It was delish!!

I've seen the microwave instructions but was wondering if it would be 'mushy'? I may try it that way tomorrow. It's going to be too warm for the oven and my hubby wants it with meat sauce. :-)

I made tofu for the first time today. I sautéed it in some Thai peanut satay sauce. Sauce was great...tofu....not so much!

Try pressing it between 2 plates with some paper towels or freezing and thawing it before you use it. Then marinate it before you cook it. Makes the texture more meaty and it picks up more flavor.

Thanks for the tips! I also may try baking it!

I forgot, today for lunch I took a 6 inch carb balance tortilla (only 3G net carbs) and put it in a pan with mozzarella cheese on top. The tortilla got a little crispy and the cheese melted. Topped with tsp of Parmesan and a dash of pepper. Cut into 1/4 like a pizza and shared with my 2 yr-old. I only at 1/4 but I was proud of my creativity and not having to eat cottage cheese...again!!!

Went out for a date with my hubby tonight... We went to the mall an both got 2 new pair of Nike running shoes for the gym. And ten we went out for dinner at Carrabba's... Our favorite restaurant! We split a meal which was salmon, shrimp scampi and sirloin marsala... It was soooo freakin delicious!!! The best meal I have had in a very long time! I only ate a bite or so of each, but man was it tasty and set very well in my pouch!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
