The surgery from my gallbladder seems to be hurting worse than actual GB surgery ... Maybe cause I was on morphine afterwards? I just want to feel 100% better ... This has not been a easy journey

I had mine removed. Not quite a month yet and yes it KILLED me!!!! It was 200% worst then gastric. I am still having pain, not as bad though , and discomfort and still can't lay on my left side without it feeling like something is pulling. I have to take a loratab every night since just to be comfortable!!

I had my removed exactly two weeks after gastric bypass. The doctor didn't think it was possible so quickly. I agree, a scan of gallbladder should be a requirement. The gallbladder surgery was so much more painful. Don't do too much to not hurt yourself.

If you go on YouTube you can see the actual surgery for he gall bladder removal. They slide a zip lock bad in their to put the gall bladder in and then pull the gall bladder through your belly button. It's really weird.

You can also see the video for the RNY pretty cool if you don't get queasy

I was having problems with my gallbladder for a couple years...i had alot of poisson on my right side..in my back and sometimes up between my shoulder blades...extreme pain from certain things I ate that were too greasy..throwing up yellow bile...i had been telling my Dr but I think she thought it was all in. my head! I was having attacks that would last for a few days. When I met with the surgeon before rny he had me go for an ultra sound and sure enough they found stones so they removed mine at the time of rny..5 large stones..if I had not mentioned it before hand I have no doubt I would have been having surgery again!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
