Hi everyone!! I too am waiting on insurance approval. Dr thinks there will not be a problem, but the final word is the most important. Tentatively scheduled for March 25th.

Has anyone thought of starting a weight loss scrapbook? I am starting one to help keep me focused. I am thinking pics every month followed by measurements. What do u guys think?

hi all! my name is Wendilou and I live in Austin' date='Texas. I'm 38 years old and I've been obese most of my adult life. now is the time to change that!

I am currently in my three-month weight loss program with my PCP; just a couple more weeks of that to go. I have already had a chest x-ray, lab work, EKG, barium swallow, and yesterday I went for my psychological clearance. that was a weird appt! I felt like I answered everything wrong!

I am 5'4"

my current weight is 246

My heaviest weight was 280

my goal weight is 135, although my surgeon says he only expects me to get down to 180 :(

I hope to make a lot of WLS friends here :)[/quote']

Have you been approved yet? I was approved last week. Tentative date sometime in April.

Sorry to hear that... start getting all your documentation togeather and talk with the doc to see if he/she is willing to talk to the insurance co's doc/nurse making the decision if needed. hang in there! Praying for you!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
